The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our Christmas stay special. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of choices to satisfy everyone's taste buds. The location of the hotel was perfect, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Another advantage we enjoyed was the spacious rooms, which provided plenty of space for our family to relax and unwind.
The wallpaper and carpet in some areas of the hotel looked worn and could use some updating. we were disappointed that our dog was not allowed in any public areas of the hotel, as we have stayed at other dog-friendly places where at least the bar or lounge area was accessible.

In a comfortable old house, we indeed had a loch view, looking out over a pasture of grazing highland cattle. The bedroom was charming. The town was within walking distance, which means the hotel is away from town but not so far away that one couldn't visit. The food at the hotel was excellent, and the staff, gracious and helpful.
The Internet was down the entire time we were there. The hotel is not right on the lake (although the view of the lake is real enough.) The bathroom, particularly the shower capsule, was miniscule.

The view from the hotel room fabulous it's location location location! But the hotel itself a bit tired.
Decor needs to be updated and the hotel need to be upgraded but you can,t fault the location. Gardens could be fantastic with a little bit of tender loving care.

We had a lovely stay at a beautiful hunting lodge with a pleasant environment. The themed decor added charm to the experience. The bed was also comfortable, providing us with a restful night's sleep. The friendly staff were really nice, even mailing back a forgotten item at no cost. The location was fine, with views of Loch Ness and peaceful walks through the nearby woods. The chef catered to our vegan needs, providing delicious meals and even a packed lunch for our hike.

The owner was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome and helped us relax immediately. Meal times, including breakfast were extremely flexible and the quality of food was above average (you need to try the home made ice cream!). Our room, which was the main room, was large and spacious with some nice views out across the bottom of Loch Ness. The hotel was situated back from the busy A82 and was thus quiet during the night and helped contribute towards an undisturbed nights sleep
A minor critisicm would be the lack of basic items in the bar where only one beer was available on draught and no soda water. However I am appreciative that this is in the middle of the quiet season and the adverse weather conditions experienced recently contributed to even lower numbers of guests than normal. This means that stock levels of things such as beers which have a limited shelf life may be ineveitably be lower in such a remote location. The hotel however did have a good range of bottled ales which more than made up for the lack of draught beers!

Great view of loch ness. Amazing food in the restaurant for dinner. Staff always friendly and trying to help.
Hotel has seen its best days, some parts a bit old and run down. Has charm but could do with a make over.

The food was very good
The hotel was shabby and the bedroom considering it was the bridal suite was out dated, bare and the furniture was old ( but not antique) in poor condition
